2019 is officially here!
Whether you have set a New Years resolution to lose weight, learn a new skill, or simply improve your life, you have a story to tell. I am here to tell you why you NEED to blog in 2019.
As humans we are naturally drawn to sharing. This helps us feel more connected to the world around us.
Why you need to start a blog in 2019:
In 2019, starting a blog can have tons of purposes. A blog can: help you make connections with people around the world, encourage you to stick to the goals you’ve set, inspire others to change the way they live or look at specific topics, and can create income to help you support your lifestyle and other goals. Blogs can do so much more, but those are a few of my favorite reasons to start sharing!

Get started – it will only take a few minutes. Jump in today and get sharing!
Here are some simple steps to get your blog launched and underway quickly!
1. Choose a host provider.
I have been using Bluehost for almost 4 years now, and wouldn’t recommend another host more! They have been so helpful every step of the way. The best part? Bluehost is offering my readers a discount if you choose to get started with your hosting today! Normally you will pay $3.95/month with a regular link. If you sign up with this link now, you can get hosting for $2.95/month!
2. Choose a platform.
My favorite platform for blogging is WordPress. It integrates with BlueHost seamlessly and is super easy to use for someone with no coding experience. With WordPress and Bluehost, you are making sure that everything you share on your blog is owned by you and not by a free provider.
3. Choose a name and topic.
Purchase a domain URL and connect it to your platform. Whether you decide to write about fitness, parenting, travel, or any other skill you have, be creative with your name but keep it short and sweet so people can remember it!
4. Set up the basics.
You don’t need to get a ton set up all at once. This is an ongoing process and even 5 years into blogging, I am constantly making edits and improvements to my settings. Don’t get held up because settings are not perfect. Let the blog grow with your experience!
5. Start writing that blog in 2019!
Remember, you have something valuable to share. Nobody else is exactly like you with your perspectives or thoughts. The world needs you to share! Once you do, share all over Pinterest. That is one of the best sources of traffic for me personally, and will help you get the word out to the world!
Please feel free to message me if you have any questions!
