If you’ve been following along my journey for awhile or are new here, you can quickly guess I am obsessed with traveling. I have found who I really am with my adventures, and love the open mind I have gained during my trips across the world. It has taught me to view the people around me with new eyes, courage, and compassion.
Traveling has also done more to get me out of my comfort zone than anything else I’ve tried. It Is a pretty vulnerable experience to wander streets and find places to eat for one. And most importantly, learn to be comfortable with yourself and your thoughts when nobody else is around.
Because being on the go can drain your electronics, I have found my top 5 most recommended portable chargers to take on your next adventure. I don’t believe in being glued to your phone while traveling. PUT THAT THING AWAY and talk to the people around you. Like have a literal conversation!
UNHEARD OF. WHAT THE FLIP ARE YOU ASKING ME TO DO, HEATHER?!?
So then, if you encourage disconnecting from the homies back home, then what is the benefit of having a portable charger? Well, let me tell you!
The portable charger is magnificent for keeping your devices….charged. YOU’RE KIDDING ME, RIGHT?
No. Really, at the basis of keeping your camera, phone, or any other device charged, is being able to have the option there. With your camera, it is pretty obvious. You may be taking so many pictures for your memories that your camera battery dies. So rather than head back to your Air B-N-B for a recharge, this is where your new best friend – I mean – portable chargers come in handy.
What about your phone? While I don’t use it to talk to people on the go or recommend active social media use, I do recommend using your Google Maps tool. This can drain your battery pretty fast, so having a backup plan to safely arrive back to your hotel or chosen place of residence without being totally lost and unable to translate random street peeps, you need your phone alive. Just as simple as that.
SO HERE YOU GO!

SkyRoam Portable Wi-Fi + Charger
Another of my big purchases and faves. This one does double-duty with the ability to charge AND provide portable Wi-Fi. I used this a ton in Italy when needing to look up an address without just wandering the streets using my Google Maps. Not to mention, if you end up at an Air BnB without wifi, this baby solves EVERYTHING while you are out traveling the world. I chose to use a monthly unlimited plan so I didn’t have to worry about extra charges to my phone plan or to the data on my device.
[/wc_column] [/wc_row]So there you have it. Five portable chargers that can make your travel and adventures a little bit more easy on stress, safety, and even connecting. I want to hear all about where you are traveling, what charger has been your life-saver, and any other tips you love for solo or group trips. Share below and make sure to plan ahead for your next vacation!
